Run Everything

Everything is an Enlightenment Module. (see E17 Basics) It is a very powerful but oft-misunderstood application that features its own Gadget, the Everything Starter. This guide is meant only to describe the basic features of the Everything module to help get you started. There are many more features available and information on them can be found through the links at the end.

Everything does not have a title bar with buttons to maximize, minimize, and close like most other applications. To close Run Everything, just hit the Esc key or click anywhere outside the Everything window. It can be opened at Main Menu>Run Everything, with the Gadget, or with the handy keyboard shortcuts: Alt+Esc or Win+Space

One of the primary purposes of Everything is to locate files of any type on your system, whether they are text, image, or even application files.

Everything will show results as you type, as you can see in the screenshot to the left. Only "mid" has been typed, but Everything has already located the program launcher for Midori. If that is what you're looking for, just press Enter and Midori will launch.

If you're not looking for the application Midori, but rather the screenshot of Midori you have saved on your system, just use the arrow keys to navigate to "screenshot_midori.jpg", press Enter, and this will open the image.

Other features, such as using Everything as a calculator or searching YouTube, can be easily added. You can explore some of the features by going to Main Menu>Settings>All>Launcher>Everything Configuration. For more information, take a look at the Bodhi Guide to Enlightenment.
